We had a lovely Father's Day pancake breakfast at the club. Many members pitched in and contributed delightful breakfast items. Kerry had the Ship's Store open for a big sale and we sold over $100 of merchandise and took a couple of special orders. I spent some time watching our fleet captain and a former commodore trying to find a pole believed to be stuck in the ground just under the surface, but sadly they were unsuccessful.

Peter and I then decided to hook up Starlink. At first it would not connect to the internet and we could not figure out why. Then it did connect, and again we did not know why. But it worked fabulously once we had it going. I could pick up a signal over one half way up the docks. We tried to store it in Peter's new dock box, and it fit. But Marianna was still 100% against taking it, so I left her and Peter to decide what to do. Either take it with us, or return it to Nate. Well, the decision was to return it to Nate. Fortunately for us, Nate was in North Olmstead for his boys soccer game so we were able to deliver it there instead of driving it all the way to Norton. Peter and I were mega disappointed. Why did Marianna not want it?  Several reasons: It was expensive equipment and it could get damaged (the antenna cost $2,500), it took up too much space, it used too much power, it could get wet, it was not needed, it's too much at the last minute, etc.  While not denying some of the merit in her arguments, Peter and I ended up very disappointed.

I did not know until after our voyage that Nate actually had two Starlink antennas, one big and one small. He had given us the big one as it was for movement. Would it have made a difference if we had the small one? Who knows? I doubt it.

I spent some time today with Jim helping him renumber the main circuit breakers for the docks. The Club had switched numbering systems because of new dock pedestals, and needed to make the main panels match the numbers that were now on the dock pedestals.

We plan to leave fairly early tomorrow as the winds are forecast to build in the afternoon. We are just going to East Harbor. While it's close. it does cut 20 miles off the next day 75 mile trip to Milliken in Detroit. We could end up at EH for 2 nights as travel on Tuesday could be difficult. Peter and Marianna plan to spend Monday night on Middle Bass Island.
